I was initially hesitant about these boots since they’re a new style from Origin. However, my first impression is outstanding—exceptional quality, styling, and fit. There’s no heel slip, and the toe box is perfectly sized. Supporting a company like Origin, which manufactures in the USA, is a priority for many of us. These boots justify the premium price compared to overseas alternatives. Not only are you backing American craftsmanship, but you’re also getting a superior product. Well done, Origin!

Great shoe looks & manufacturing, but when in doubt go up a size

I really wanted to like the Origin USA Statesman Chelsea boots, but unfortunately, the fit and comfort have been disappointing.
I initially ordered multiple sizes to find the best fit and noticed inconsistencies in the shaping and contours of the vamp between pairs. The differences in the upper’s profile made it difficult to determine which size provided the best overall fit. I eventually settled on a pair that seemed to fit well initially.
However, after wearing them for any meaningful amount of walking, I noticed that the rear seam in the heel counter area consistently rubs against the back of my heel, causing significant discomfort. I assumed this would improve as the leather broke in, but after roughly a year of wear, the problem hasn’t improved.
At this point, I can’t comfortably wear these boots for an extended period of walking without experiencing pain at the back of my heels by the end of the day.
I appreciate Origin’s commitment to American manufacturing and really wanted these boots to work out. However, for a premium-priced boot, I expected more consistent construction and better long-term comfort. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend them based on my experience.

I live and work in Europe. I’ve received so many compliments on these boots it’s unbelievable! They are a bit heavy and take some getting used to, but they are all-day comfortable when standing on your feet.
