When we set out to build the GTFO Collection, we handed it to a bunch of Gen X’ers and told them to do what they do best. They jumped out of airplanes, hiked the Appalachian Trail, hunted in the Maine mountains, and wandered the cobbled streets of Europe. We made a few tweaks, refined the fit, and built the perfect pant—one that performs day after day after day.

We documented the first time we put the GTFO Pant to the test. Naturally it involved Special Forces Operators jumping out of helicopters into the remote backcountry of MOAB, UT.

Origin NYLOC® is a proprietary 99% nylon, 1% spandex performance fabric engineered for rugged durability, lightweight comfort, and unrestricted movement. Weighing just 7.2 oz, it delivers military-grade abrasion resistance, 4-way stretch, water and odor resistance, and mil-spec reinforced stitching. Built to handle harsh conditions and high-output activity, it's designed and developed in the USA and proudly manufactured in Asheboro, North Carolina.

    Love these shorts! Lightweight and are cut comfortably. Love that they aren't real long either. I'm 5'8" and hate when long shorts get caught on the knee while active or squatting. Plus, I'm a 70's, 80's kid that grew up in shorty OP and Lightening Bolts:). The 9" is just right though. Even used them as boardies with a rash guard to paddle out in the warm August water.

    Only knock is that the light material can catch and tear a little easier than other materials, but that's a minor tradeoff.

    Perfect shorts

    I have a particular athletic build that makes it hard for me to buy shorts that fit. Well, these fit perfect and now I can’t stop buying them.

    Solid pair of daily shorts

    I’ve been wearing the GTFO 1995 Performance Stretch 9" shorts and they’re excellent. Quality is obvious the moment you pick them up. The stitching is solid throughout, and the material is absolutely tear resistant — it holds up to real use without any issues.

    Great but very relaxed waist

    I love how lightweight and stretchy the short shorts are. They have great pocket space, but the waist is also very thin. When carrying in the waistband I need to use make sure I wear my ORIGIN belt which is not a bad thing, but I feel that I can’t use my lower profile belt when carrying. I like these shorts a lot, but I prefer the Moab for that reason.
